Site Conditions:
Air and substrate temperature for application of SUR-FACE Universal Base Coat must be 5°C (40°F) or higher and must remain 5°C (40°F) or higher for a minimum of 24 hours. Application should be performed in dry condition. Provide temporary protection to protect the substrate from damage until SUR-FACE Universal Base Coat is dry approx. 24 hours. Working and drying times are based upon 20°C (68°F) temperature conditions / 60% humidity and will vary with temperature and humidity.
Preparation of substrates:
The substrate must be clean, dry, structurally sound, and free of efflorescence, dust, oil, grease, bitumen, form release agents and curing compounds or anything that would affect bond. SUR-FACE Universal Base Coat is not suitable for painted surfaces. Existing renders should be checked before application. All renders that sound blown/ hollow must be removed. If adhesion is weak the render/coatings should be removed. In case of mycological i.e., algae contamination should be treated with SUR-FACE Fungicidal wash, leave for 24 hours and power wash clean. Substrates made of aerated concrete, silicate blocks or other high water absorption elements should be primed at least 4 hours before using SUR-FACE Universal Quartz Primer or SUR-FACE Deep Primer. Mixing:
Use only clean equipment for mixing preparation. Add 4.5 – 5 liters of potable clean water to a clean plastic tub/bucket. Add the SUR-FACE Universal Base Coat slowly while stirring using a 400 -500rpm paddle mixer. Mix thoroughly to a homogenous consistency. Let the mixture stand for 3-5 minutes and then stir to a creamy consistency.
Small amounts of clean potable water may be added to obtain a workable consistency. DO NOT over water, DO NOT over mix.
Clean Up:
Tools and equipment can be cleaned with water while the SUR-FACE Universal Basecoat is still wet. Hardened elements can be removed mechanical only.
Storage:
Store the SUR-FACE Universal Base Coat in cool dry place on a pallet in original undamaged packages.

First Aid:
General information
Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product.
Remove the patient immediately from the danger area. If the patient is unwell consult a doctor and present this data sheet.
After inhalation Supply fresh air and consult a doctor.
In case of unconsciousness place patient on their side position for transportation.
After skin contact Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.
After eye contact Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Then consult doctor. Rinse liquid should be tempered (20-30 °C).
After swallowing If symptoms persist consult a doctor.
